
Despite the rise in the exchange rate of foreign currencies, especially the dollar, and the increase in the prices of most goods, the situation in the automotive market was different and even completely reversed. Car prices in Egypt witnessed a noticeable drop in the period from March to April 2024. This reduction included around 17 brands in the automotive market in its various categories, most notably Seat, Nissan, Geely, Peugeot, Fiat, and Citroen. The average decrease in car prices is around 300,000 Egyptian pounds, and in some models, it reached more than half a million Egyptian pounds.
These significant discounts come after the provision of dollar liquidity by official banks following the decisions of the Central Bank of Egypt to provide dollar liquidity to both car dealers and agents to stabilize the Egyptian automotive market.
The decline in car prices in Egypt, which began in March 2024, is also attributed to an improvement in Egypt's economic indicators and the availability of foreign currency for various sectors, including the production supplies sector.

"Dynamics" company, the agent of "Fiat" in Egypt, announced a reduction in the prices of Fiat Tipo 2024 model cars by an amount ranging between 300 and 325 thousand Egyptian pounds, starting from March 2024.
Nissan prices witnessed significant reductions for four models: Nissan Sunny, Juke, Sentra, and Qashqai, with a reduction of 250,000 to 350,000 Egyptian pounds.
As for "Seat" cars, the prices of the "Ibiza", "Leon", "Tarraco", "Ateca", and "Arona" models have decreased significantly by an amount ranging from 100,000 to 250,000 Egyptian pounds.
As for "Citroen" cars, all their brands, including the C-Elysee, C3, C4, and C5, have witnessed a significant decrease reaching up to 500,000 Egyptian pounds.
The Egyptian automotive market is expected to witness some stability in its prices in the coming period.
