Hatchback: A small car with a rear door that opens upward along with the glass. Examples: Kia Picanto, Hyundai i10. Crossover: Between a sedan and an SUV — raised but built on a passenger car platform. Examples: Hyundai Tucson, Kia Sportage. Coupe: A sporty two-door car. Pickup: A car with an open rear cargo bed for hauling. Van: A spacious vehicle for large families or commercial transport. Convertible: A car with a folding roof. Station Wagon: A sedan with an extended roof and a larger trunk.

It depends on family size and budget: Small family (3-4 members) on a limited budget: The sedan is the most economical choice — cheaper in price, fuel, and maintenance. The Hyundai Elantra and Nissan Sunny are among the most popular options. Medium family (4-5 members) needing more space: The crossover is the best fit — it combines interior space, ground clearance, and reasonable fuel consumption. The Hyundai Tucson and Kia Sportage are the best-selling models in this category. Large family (6+ members): Vans like the Hyundai H1 or Kia Carnival offer 7-9 seats. They're pricier in cost and fuel, but there's no real alternative for large families. Travel and rough roads: A four-wheel-drive SUV like the Toyota Fortuner — suitable for desert and unpaved roads.

Hatchbacks are the cheapest to buy and run — prices start from 350000 EGP for models like the Kia Picanto, Hyundai i10, and Suzuki Swift. They also have lower fuel consumption (5-6 liters/100 km) and cheaper maintenance and spare parts costs. The second cheapest category is the economy sedan — with prices starting from 260000 EGP for models like the Chevrolet Aveo, Renault Logan, and Nissan Sunny. Crossovers and SUVs are more expensive to buy and run, but they retain their resale value better — meaning if you're buying as an investment, they could be more cost-effective in the long run.
