During a launch event held at the KGM Service Center in Obour City—attended by key automotive journalists, media representatives, and industry partners—Arabiyat Egypt, the exclusive distributor for Korean brand KGM (formerly SsangYong), officially debuted the facelifted 2027 KGM Torres SUV in the local market.

The 2027 model year iteration incorporates notable enhancements spanning exterior design cues, cabin technology, and a upgraded powertrain architecture.

Upgraded AISIN 8-Speed Powertrain & Performance

The key highlight of the 2027 KGM Torres lies under its hood:

• Transmission Upgrade: The previous 6-speed automatic has been replaced with a new 8-speed automatic transmission sourced from Japan's AISIN, ensuring smoother shifts and optimized power delivery.
• Engine Architecture: Powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder GDI gasoline engine. 
• Power & Torque: Generates 163 horsepower, while peak torque has been bumped to 300 Nm (up from 280 Nm), accessible between 2,000 and 3,500 rpm. 

Refined Exterior Styling

While preserving its rugged, off-road-inspired aesthetic, the 2027 Torres receives updated front grille elements, redesigned headlamps, and restyled front and rear bumpers. Additionally, Arabiyat Egypt introduced a new exterior paint finish named "Plasma Shadow" to the color palette.

The interior layout has been modernized to deliver elevated comfort and connectivity:
