Global Auto Group, the official importer of BMW and MINI in Egypt, has opened a new showroom in New Cairo, strengthening the two premium brands' presence in East Cairo while introducing BMW Group's latest retail concept to the Egyptian market.
Located inside the I-City Commercial Building on North 90th Street in the Fifth Settlement, the new facility replaces the previous BMW showroom in the area.
Unlike its predecessor, however, the new location brings BMW and MINI together under one roof for the first time in this part of New Cairo.
The facility combines premium vehicle displays, customer areas and digital technologies under BMW Group's Retail.Next concept, reflecting Global Auto's broader strategy of upgrading its retail network and enhancing the customer experience.
The new showroom covers approximately 1,000 square meters, giving Global Auto enough space to display a wide selection of BMW and MINI vehicles simultaneously.
The facility can accommodate up to eight BMW vehicles and two MINI models at the same time.
This allows customers to explore multiple vehicles from both brands during a single visit rather than visiting separate locations.
The showroom also includes integrated reception and customer waiting areas, vehicle display zones and dedicated delivery spaces.
The facility has been designed around the specific identities of both brands, with a dedicated MINI area and another section highlighting the sporty character of BMW M.
One of the most significant features of the new showroom is its adoption of BMW Group's Retail.Next concept.
The concept combines modern luxury with digital technology to create a more interactive retail environment.
Instead of relying exclusively on physical vehicle displays, customers can use digital tools to explore specifications, equipment options and different vehicle configurations.
The result is a showroom experience that combines physical interaction with vehicles and digital exploration of the wider BMW and MINI product ranges.
The New Cairo facility joins Global Auto's growing network of locations adopting the Retail.Next identity, including facilities in Obour City, the Cairo-Alexandria Desert Road, Almaza and the North Coast.
Bringing BMW and MINI together in one location is one of the key differences between the new showroom and the previous facility.
The former BMW showroom in New Cairo was dedicated exclusively to BMW vehicles.
The new facility, meanwhile, creates a shared retail destination where customers can explore both premium brands during the same visit.
Despite sharing the building, each brand maintains its own identity.
MINI has a dedicated area within the showroom, while another section focuses on BMW M and its performance-oriented character.
This approach allows Global Auto to benefit from the efficiency of a shared facility while maintaining the distinctive identities of both brands.
The inauguration was attended by senior BMW Group executives, highlighting the importance of the Egyptian market within the company's regional operations.
Among those attending were Rito Chandy, Senior Vice President of BMW Group Sales for Asia-Pacific, Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa, and Paul de Courtois, Regional President for Africa and Eastern Europe.
The event was also attended by Mohamed Kandeel, CEO and Managing Director of Global Auto Group.
The presence of senior regional executives comes as Global Auto continues to develop BMW's retail and after-sales network across Egypt.
Mohamed Kandeel said the new facility represents more than simply replacing the previous showroom.
According to Kandeel, the project forms part of Global Auto's ongoing strategy to develop its Egyptian network and provide customers with an experience consistent with the positioning of BMW and MINI.
He also highlighted the adoption of Retail.Next as an example of the company's efforts to align its facilities with BMW Group's latest global standards.
The concept combines contemporary luxury with advanced digital solutions, allowing customers to interact with vehicle information and services in a more integrated environment.
This approach reflects the growing importance of customer experience in the premium automotive sector, where buyers increasingly expect technology and service quality to complement the vehicles themselves.
Global Auto's strategy extends beyond showroom development.
The company currently offers BMW customers in Egypt a comprehensive maintenance package covering scheduled maintenance costs for three years or 60,000 kilometers, whichever comes first.
The program forms part of the company's broader after-sales strategy and provides customers with a defined period of maintenance coverage after purchasing their vehicles.
Maintenance packages are particularly relevant in the premium segment because scheduled servicing can represent a significant part of the overall cost of vehicle ownership.
By including maintenance coverage, Global Auto adds another element to the ownership package offered to BMW customers.
In addition to the maintenance program, Global Auto provides BMW vehicles in Egypt with a warranty of up to five years or 200,000 kilometers, whichever comes first.
The extended warranty provides another layer of after-sales coverage for customers, particularly those planning to keep their vehicles for several years.
Together, the maintenance and warranty programs form part of Global Auto's wider approach to customer ownership, extending the relationship between the company and its customers beyond the initial vehicle purchase.
The choice of New Cairo for the new showroom reflects the importance of East Cairo in Egypt's premium automotive market.
The Fifth Settlement and surrounding areas have become major residential and commercial centers, making the area an important location for premium automotive brands seeking to reach customers in the eastern part of Greater Cairo.
The showroom's location on North 90th Street, inside the modern I-City Commercial Building, provides BMW and MINI with a contemporary retail environment consistent with the positioning of both brands.
The new facility also forms part of Global Auto's broader efforts to upgrade and expand its retail footprint across Egypt.
The integration of digital technology is a central element of the Retail.Next concept.
Customers can explore vehicle specifications and equipment options through digital tools while also viewing the actual cars displayed inside the showroom.
This combination gives customers greater flexibility when comparing models, trims and configurations before moving toward a physical vehicle experience.
The approach is particularly relevant as modern vehicles become increasingly sophisticated, with larger numbers of technology features, safety systems and customization options.
A digital retail environment can therefore make it easier for customers to explore the available choices before making a purchasing decision.
Global Auto has opened a new BMW and MINI showroom in New Cairo, replacing the previous BMW facility on North 90th Street while expanding the location into a shared premium retail destination.
The new showroom covers approximately 1,000 square meters and can display up to eight BMW vehicles and two MINI models simultaneously.
It includes dedicated customer areas, vehicle delivery spaces, a MINI section and an area highlighting BMW M, while adopting BMW Group's Retail.Next concept to combine modern luxury with interactive digital technologies.
Alongside the new facility, Global Auto continues to emphasize after-sales support, offering BMW customers in Egypt comprehensive maintenance for three years or 60,000 kilometers, together with a warranty extending to five years or 200,000 kilometers, subject to the applicable terms.
The new showroom therefore represents both an expansion of the brands' physical presence in East Cairo and another step in Global Auto's strategy to modernize the premium automotive retail experience in Egypt.
