GB Auto Launches Locally Assembled Haval “Jolion” for the First Time in the Egyptian Market

GB Auto, the exclusive distributor of Haval in Egypt, announced the official launch of the locally assembled Haval Jolion Facelift during a distinguished event held at Hyatt Regency Cairo West, attended by leading media representatives, dealers, and key partners in the automotive sector.

This launch aligns with GB Auto’s strategy to strengthen local manufacturing, which is backed by a significant EGP 4 billion investment in a new production facility. The strategy aims to introduce models that combine advanced technology with strong value competitiveness, addressing the evolving expectations of customers in Egypt’s SUV segment.

The Haval Jolion Facelift has been one of the most prominent models to establish a strong presence in the Egyptian market since its debut in 2021, achieving remarkable success supported by strong customer trust and an outstanding track record with zero major complaints—reflecting its quality and reliability. It is worth noting that Haval vehicles globally are recognized with the ANCAP safety award, while the Jolion Facelift itself has earned a 5-star rating in Australian safety tests.

Today’s locally assembled version, produced at the company’s factory in Sadat City, further strengthens availability and market penetration, especially with the increasing importance of spare parts accessibility and after-sales service efficiency—both critical factors in the overall ownership experience.

The Jolion Facelift stands out as an ideal daily-use SUV, offering a well-balanced combination of practicality, comfort, and strong value for money within its segment.

It is also important to highlight that the locally assembled model is the updated Facelift version, featuring a more modern design language and an expanded suite of advanced technologies. 

Key highlights include Auto Park functionality and the ADAS advanced driver assistance system, which enhance its appeal and meet the expectations of customers seeking a fully integrated driving experience.
 
Integrated Launch Experience
The event, which was attended by a delegation from Great Wall Motors, began with a guest reception and networking sessions, followed by a transition to the unveiling area. 

The program included welcome remarks and a keynote speech by Eng. Mohamed Murad, Head of Passenger Car Sales at GB Auto, followed by a comprehensive presentation and the official reveal of the vehicle amid strong audience engagement.

The evening also featured a live product showcase and a detailed walkthrough of the vehicle’s key features, followed by a dinner reception and a musical performance by artist Hena Yousry.
 
Balanced Performance and Advanced Technology
The Haval Jolion is powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine delivering up to 148 hp at 5600–6000 rpm, with a maximum torque of 220 Nm between 2000 and 4400 rpm. 

It is paired with a 7-speed wet dual-clutch automatic transmission (7DCT), offering a strong balance between performance and fuel efficiency.

The vehicle dimensions include a length of 4472 mm, a width of 1841 mm, a height of 1619 mm, and a wheelbase of 2700 mm, resulting in a spacious cabin and enhanced driving stability.
 
Comprehensive Safety System
The Jolion offers a full suite of standard safety features, including ABS, EBD, and ESP, along with traction control, electronic stability programs, and hill-start and hill-descent assist systems. 

Higher trims also include up to six airbags.

Advanced driver assistance systems in the top trim include forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane keeping assist, lane departure warning, blind spot detection, traffic jam assist, a 360-degree surround-view camera, and autonomous parking.
 
Interior Comfort and Technology
The cabin is designed to elevate driving comfort, featuring a 14.6-inch infotainment display with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, along with a 7-inch digital instrument cluster.

Depending on the trim, features include dual-zone automatic climate control, leather seats with heated front seats, an electric driver seat, wireless charging, a panoramic sunroof in higher trims, and selectable driving modes (Eco / Sport / Standard).
 
Modern Exterior Design
The Jolion showcases a refreshed design that reflects Haval’s modern identity, featuring an updated front grille, LED headlamps and taillights, sporty 18-inch alloy wheels, electrically adjustable, heated, foldable side mirrors, and roof rails.
