Jetour Expands Its Footprint in Egypt

JETOUR is continuing to strengthen its position in the Egyptian automotive market, supported by an expanding range of crossover and SUV models designed to address different customer needs and price segments.

The Chinese brand, which is part of the Chery Group, was established in 2018 and has built its product strategy around crossover and SUV vehicles. In Egypt, Jetour is represented by Kasrawy Group, its exclusive local dealer. The brand’s current lineup covers several segments, with models ranging from the seven-seat X70 to the performance-oriented T2 i-DM plug-in hybrid. 

Current Jetour models available in Egypt include the X70, X70 Plus, Dashing, X90 Plus, T1, T2 and T2 i-DM. Prices currently start at approximately EGP 1.09 million and reach EGP 2.15 million for the flagship plug-in hybrid model. 

Jetour X70 Targets Family Buyers

The Jetour X70 is one of the brand’s key family-oriented models in Egypt. Positioned as a large compact crossover, it offers seven seats and focuses on practicality and interior space.

The X70 is currently available in Comfort and Luxury grades, with prices ranging from EGP 1.095 million to EGP 1.24 million. It is powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine producing 156 horsepower and 230 Nm of torque, paired with a six-speed wet dual-clutch transmission. 

The vehicle measures 4,743 mm in length, 1,900 mm in width and 1,720 mm in height, with a 2,720-mm wheelbase. Its flexible luggage compartment can also be expanded by folding the third row.

Depending on the grade, equipment includes electronic safety systems, tire-pressure monitoring, digital displays and parking technologies. The higher Luxury version adds features such as a 360-degree camera, panoramic sunroof and leather upholstery. 

X70 Plus Adds Local Production

The Jetour X70 Plus represents a more advanced evolution of the X70 and maintains the seven-seat configuration while offering a more contemporary exterior and interior design.

The model is currently offered in a single Luxury grade priced at approximately EGP 1.275 million. It uses a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine producing 156 horsepower and 230 Nm of torque. 

One of the most important aspects of the X70 Plus in Egypt is its local assembly. Kasrawy Group has been manufacturing the model locally as part of its broader strategy to expand automotive production in Egypt.

When the 2027 Jetour lineup was introduced in June 2026, the company announced a EGP 25,000 price increase for the locally assembled X70 Plus, while maintaining the prices of the other Jetour models at that time. 

Local production gives the X70 Plus additional strategic importance as Egypt continues to encourage automotive manufacturing and localization.

Jetour Dashing Focuses on Sporty Design

The Jetour Dashing occupies a more youthful and sporty position within the lineup. Its futuristic styling is designed to appeal particularly to younger buyers looking for a crossover with a distinctive appearance.

Current prices range from EGP 1.33 million to EGP 1.48 million. The model is available with two turbocharged engine options.

The entry version uses a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine producing 156 horsepower and 230 Nm, while the higher-performance version is equipped with a 1.6-liter turbo engine producing 197 horsepower and 290 Nm. 

Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes approximately 9.4 seconds with the 1.5-liter engine and 8.5 seconds with the 1.6-liter unit.

The Dashing is based on Chery’s Kunlun platform, which is also used by several newer Jetour models, highlighting the brand’s move toward modern architectures and more sophisticated vehicle technology. 

X90 Plus Offers More Space

The Jetour X90 Plus sits higher in the lineup and targets customers seeking a larger family crossover with seven seats.

Priced at approximately EGP 1.56 million, the X90 Plus uses a 1.6-liter turbocharged engine producing 197 horsepower and 290 Nm of torque. 

The model is based on Chery’s P6X platform and was originally introduced internationally in 2021 before receiving its updated version.

Its larger dimensions, seven-seat layout and more powerful engine make it a suitable option for families requiring additional passenger and luggage capacity.

Jetour T1 Brings a Boxy Design

The Jetour T1 is one of the brand’s newer additions to the Egyptian market and adopts the increasingly popular boxy SUV design language.

The T1 is offered in a single Luxury grade priced at EGP 1.73 million. It uses a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine producing 184 horsepower and 290 Nm of torque. 

The model shares the Kunlun platform with the T2 and offers a more rugged visual identity compared with conventional crossover models. Its luggage capacity can reach 1,455 liters when the rear seats are folded.

The T1 therefore targets buyers looking for a distinctive SUV appearance combined with strong performance and a high level of equipment.

Jetour T2 Combines SUV Styling and Technology

The Jetour T2 has become one of the most recognizable models in the brand’s Egyptian lineup, largely because of its rugged boxy design and adventure-oriented character.

The mid-size crossover is currently available in a single Luxury grade priced at EGP 1.9 million. It is powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine producing 184 horsepower and 290 Nm of torque.

Its design combines a high-riding SUV profile with a modern cabin featuring digital displays, a large central screen and a range of safety and driver-assistance technologies.

The T2 also represents Jetour’s attempt to compete in a higher-value SUV segment rather than limiting the brand to entry-level and mainstream crossovers.

T2 i-DM Raises the Technology Bar

At the top of the current Jetour lineup sits the T2 i-DM, a plug-in hybrid version that combines a turbocharged gasoline engine with an electric powertrain.

The model is priced at approximately EGP 2.15 million and uses a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine combined with an electrified system. Total output reaches 375 horsepower and 610 Nm of torque, while the battery has a capacity of 26.7 kWh.

The vehicle is advertised with a combined range of up to approximately 1,000 kilometers between charging and refueling, making it an interesting option for customers seeking high performance while benefiting from electrified driving technology.

Its arrival also expands the availability of plug-in hybrid vehicles in the Egyptian market, at a time when fuel efficiency and alternative powertrains are becoming increasingly important considerations.

Jetour Strengthens Its Position in Egypt

Jetour’s presence in Egypt has expanded considerably beyond a small selection of Chinese vehicles. The brand has established itself as an increasingly visible player in the new-car market through a combination of new models, competitive pricing and a growing SUV-focused portfolio.

Available market data cited by Egy-Car indicates that Jetour recorded strong growth during 2026 and ranked among the leading brands by vehicle registrations, reaching third place among automotive companies in May 2026 according to the referenced registration data. 

This growth has coincided with the expansion of the product range, the introduction of newer T-series models and the continuation of local assembly operations for the X70 Plus.

The current lineup also demonstrates a clear shift toward bolder styling, stronger engines and more advanced technology, particularly through the T1, T2 and T2 i-DM models.
