Jetour has expanded its presence in Egypt’s electrified vehicle market with the T2 i-DM, a plug-in hybrid version of its mid-size SUV that combines a turbocharged gasoline engine with an electric powertrain and a rechargeable battery.
The model is currently offered in Egypt through Kasrawy Group, Jetour’s exclusive local distributor, in a single trim priced at EGP 2.15 million.
Listed as a 2027 model, the T2 i-DM combines a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine with a 26.7 kWh battery, delivering a total system output of 375 hp and 610 Nm of torque.
The model brings a different powertrain strategy to Jetour’s SUV range in Egypt, targeting customers interested in combining strong performance with the efficiency advantages of plug-in hybrid technology.
The Jetour T2 i-DM is currently available in Egypt in one trim level, with a listed price of EGP 2.15 million.
The price was updated in June 2026 as Jetour introduced its 2027 model-year lineup in the Egyptian market. The T2 i-DM remained part of the brand’s range without a reported change to its listed price at that time.
The vehicle therefore occupies a relatively high position within Egypt’s SUV market, but its pricing is accompanied by a plug-in hybrid powertrain rather than a conventional gasoline-only setup.
This gives the model a distinct proposition as electrified vehicles continue to gain visibility in the Egyptian market.
At the center of the T2 i-DM is a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine working with an electric propulsion system and a 26.7 kWh rechargeable battery.
The combined system produces 375 hp and 610 Nm of torque, figures that place the vehicle firmly in the performance-oriented side of the mid-size SUV segment.
The hybrid system is paired with a DHT transmission and uses Jetour’s i-DM, or Integrated Dual Mode, technology.
According to the current Egyptian-market specifications, the T2 i-DM accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.5 seconds, while its listed average fuel consumption is approximately 5.4 liters per 100 km.
One of the headline figures associated with the T2 i-DM is its claimed combined range of up to 1,000 km.
This figure represents the vehicle’s combined operating range using both its electric energy and gasoline fuel, rather than a 1,000-km pure-electric range.
The vehicle features a 70-liter fuel tank alongside its 26.7 kWh battery.
The plug-in hybrid architecture allows the vehicle to use electric energy under suitable operating conditions while retaining the gasoline engine for longer-distance travel.
This combination can reduce dependence on gasoline during certain driving conditions without requiring drivers to rely exclusively on public or home charging infrastructure for longer journeys.
The T2 i-DM belongs to the mid-size crossover and SUV category and retains the boxy design language associated with the T2 family.
The vehicle measures 4.785 meters in length, 2.006 meters in width and 1.87 meters in height.
Its wheelbase measures 2.80 meters, while ground clearance stands at 220 mm.
The vehicle also carries a 70-liter fuel tank and rides on 20-inch wheels.
Its upright and squared-off exterior design distinguishes it from the more rounded styling used by many contemporary crossovers.
The design also contributes to the model’s positioning as an SUV aimed at buyers seeking a more rugged visual character without moving into larger vehicle categories.
The T2 i-DM comes with a range of technology and safety equipment designed for the modern SUV segment.
The current Egyptian specification includes a 15.6-inch central display, providing the main interface for the vehicle’s infotainment and digital functions.
A 540-degree camera system is also listed, providing a wider view around the vehicle during parking and low-speed maneuvering.
The equipment list includes electronic stability control, blind-spot monitoring and a lane-departure warning system.
The vehicle is equipped with four airbags, while its suspension setup consists of MacPherson struts at the front and a multi-link arrangement at the rear.
These features complement the vehicle’s relatively large dimensions and its positioning in the higher-priced SUV segment.
The T2 i-DM enters a segment that has become increasingly competitive in Egypt.
The current model information lists the BYD Tai 7, Deepal G318, Haval H7 and BAIC BJ30 among its competitors.
Competition in this category is increasingly shaped by several factors, including pricing, power output, equipment levels, drivetrain technology and fuel efficiency.
For the T2 i-DM, the plug-in hybrid system represents one of its main points of differentiation.
Its 375-hp combined output and 610 Nm of torque also give it a strong performance profile, while the rechargeable battery provides an additional efficiency-oriented dimension.
The T2 i-DM was first presented to the Egyptian market during a Jetour driving event organized by Kasrawy Group in Sharm El Sheikh in January 2026.
The event included several Jetour models and provided journalists and automotive specialists with an opportunity to experience the T2 i-DM.
At the time, the vehicle was presented as a plug-in hybrid version combining a gasoline engine, electric motors and a rechargeable battery.
The model was subsequently added to Jetour’s Egyptian lineup with an official price and updated 2027 model-year specifications.
The current listing confirms the vehicle as a 2027 model priced at EGP 2.15 million.
Jetour’s T2 i-DM story in Egypt may not stop with the currently available version.
The company’s local market information indicates that Kasrawy Group is preparing to introduce a 4WD version of the T2 i-DM.
That version uses two electric motors to provide all-wheel drive, differentiating it from the current specification listed in Egypt.
The upcoming 4WD variant could broaden the T2 i-DM’s appeal among customers looking for stronger off-road capability or additional traction across different road surfaces.
However, the current EGP 2.15 million model should be kept separate from the expected 4WD version. Its current listed specification should not be mixed with future pricing or equipment information for the upcoming variant.
Kasrawy Group also supports Jetour customers in Egypt with extended warranty programs.
The warranty package announced for Jetour’s 2027 lineup includes engine coverage for up to 10 years or 1 million kilometers, along with comprehensive vehicle coverage for six years or 150,000 kilometers.
Such warranty terms can be particularly relevant for customers considering vehicles equipped with newer hybrid technologies.
For buyers moving from conventional gasoline vehicles to plug-in hybrid models, long-term warranty coverage can form an important part of the overall ownership proposition.
The T2 i-DM is part of a broader expansion of Jetour’s product range in Egypt.
The brand currently offers several models, including the X70, X70 Plus, X90 Plus, Dashing, T1, T2 and T2 i-DM.
The locally assembled X70 Plus also gives Jetour a presence in the domestic manufacturing segment, while the T1 and T2 strengthen the company’s SUV portfolio.
The addition of the T2 i-DM gives Jetour another position in Egypt’s growing plug-in hybrid market.
With a listed price of EGP 2.15 million, 375 hp, 610 Nm of torque, a 26.7 kWh battery and a claimed combined range of up to 1,000 km, the T2 i-DM brings a distinct combination of performance, electrification and SUV practicality to the Egyptian market.
The potential arrival of a 4WD version could further expand the T2 family’s presence and give Jetour another option for competing in Egypt’s increasingly diverse SUV market.
