Jetour X70 Offers Seven Seats in Egypt

Jetour continues to expand its presence in Egypt with the X70, a seven-seat SUV positioned as the most affordable new model in the brand’s current local lineup.

Distributed in Egypt by Kasrawy Group, the Jetour X70 is offered as a 2027 model in two trims, Comfort and Luxury. Current listed prices stand at EGP 1.095 million for the entry-level version and EGP 1.24 million for the higher trim.

The X70 combines a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine with a six-speed dual-clutch transmission, while its seven-seat configuration gives it a family-oriented positioning in Egypt’s increasingly competitive SUV market.

Jetour X70 Starts at EGP 1.095 Million

The 2027 Jetour X70 is currently available in Egypt in two equipment grades.

The Comfort version is priced at EGP 1.095 million, while the Luxury trim reaches EGP 1.24 million.

The current prices were updated on June 17, 2026, as Jetour introduced its 2027 model-year range in the Egyptian market.

The X70 therefore occupies the lower end of Jetour’s current SUV portfolio and remains below the EGP 1.5 million mark in both available versions.

It is also important to distinguish the X70 from the X70 Plus. The X70 is currently listed as a fully imported vehicle, while the X70 Plus is locally assembled in Egypt.

156 HP from a 1.5-Liter Turbo Engine

The Jetour X70 is powered by a four-cylinder 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine.

The powertrain produces 156 hp and 230 Nm of maximum torque and is paired with a six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

The published specifications indicate a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of approximately 10 seconds.

The X70 uses front-wheel drive, a configuration commonly found among family-oriented crossovers and SUVs designed primarily for urban and highway use.

Its powertrain is therefore focused on combining adequate performance with everyday practicality rather than positioning the vehicle as a high-performance SUV.

Seven Seats for Family Use

One of the key selling points of the Jetour X70 is its seven-seat cabin.

The three-row configuration gives the vehicle an advantage among buyers who require additional passenger capacity compared with the five-seat layouts offered by many compact SUVs.

The X70 measures 4,743 mm in length, 1,900 mm in width and 1,720 mm in height, with a 2,720 mm wheelbase.

The vehicle also features a 57-liter fuel tank.

Its luggage capacity starts at 104 liters with all three rows in use and can increase to 1,052 liters when the third row is folded.

These dimensions place the X70 firmly in the larger family-crossover category, with interior space being one of its main practical advantages.

10.2-Inch Infotainment Screen

The Jetour X70 comes with a range of technology features, with equipment varying between the two trims.

The vehicle features a 10.2-inch central infotainment display and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster.

The higher Luxury trim adds equipment such as leather seats and an electrically adjustable driver’s seat.

A 360-degree surround-view camera is also available, helping drivers maneuver the relatively large vehicle in tight parking areas and urban environments.

Other equipment includes parking sensors and a panoramic sunroof on the higher specification.

Safety Equipment

The X70 also offers a range of active and passive safety features.

Its equipment list includes anti-lock braking with ABS, electronic brakeforce distribution through EBD and electronic stability control.

The vehicle also comes with a tire-pressure monitoring system and front and rear parking sensors.

Airbag protection includes front and side airbags, providing additional protection for occupants in the event of a collision.

The combination of electronic stability systems and passive safety equipment reflects the increasing emphasis on safety technology across the family SUV segment.

Jetour’s Most Affordable Current Model

The X70 occupies a distinct position within Jetour’s Egyptian portfolio because of its price.

Current Jetour listings show the X70 at EGP 1.095-1.24 million, while other models sit higher in the range. The Dashing, for example, is listed from EGP 1.33 million to EGP 1.48 million, while the X90 Plus is priced at around EGP 1.56 million and the T2 reaches EGP 1.9 million.

This makes the X70 the entry point to Jetour’s current new-car range in Egypt.

Its seven-seat layout also gives it a clear family-oriented identity within the brand’s portfolio.

The positioning is different from the X70 Plus, which is locally assembled and occupies a higher price point.

Jetour Expands Its Egyptian Range

The X70 forms part of a broader Jetour expansion strategy in Egypt.

The brand’s current lineup includes the locally assembled X70 Plus, the imported X70, X90 Plus, Dashing, T1 and T2, as well as the T2 i-DM plug-in hybrid.

This growing portfolio allows Jetour to address several segments of Egypt’s SUV market, ranging from more accessible family models to larger and more technologically advanced vehicles.

The company is also supporting its local range with extended warranty programs.

According to Jetour’s 2027 lineup announcement, customers receive engine coverage of up to 10 years or one million kilometers, while comprehensive vehicle coverage extends to six years or 150,000 kilometers.

Competition in Egypt’s Family SUV Market

The Jetour X70 enters a competitive family SUV segment where buyers increasingly compare vehicles based on seating capacity, price, equipment and after-sales support.

Its seven-seat configuration gives the model a practical advantage for larger families, while the 1.5-liter turbocharged engine provides a combination of power and torque suited to everyday driving.

Offering two trims also allows customers to choose between different equipment levels according to their budgets.

As Chinese brands continue expanding their presence in Egypt, competition is increasingly shaped by a combination of pricing, technology, safety features, warranty coverage and service availability.

X70 Strengthens Jetour’s Entry Range

The Jetour X70 provides the brand with a seven-seat SUV positioned at the lower end of its Egyptian portfolio.

With a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine producing 156 hp and 230 Nm, a seven-seat cabin and prices starting at EGP 1.095 million for the 2027 model, the X70 offers a combination aimed at family-oriented buyers.

Its role becomes clearer when viewed alongside the rest of Jetour’s lineup, which extends from the X70 through larger SUVs, performance-oriented models and plug-in hybrid vehicles.

The model also benefits from Jetour’s broader expansion in Egypt, including local assembly of the X70 Plus and the introduction of newer products such as the T2 i-DM.

For buyers seeking a seven-seat SUV from a Chinese brand, the X70 currently represents Jetour’s most accessible entry into the new-car lineup in Egypt, combining a turbocharged engine, family-oriented dimensions and a range of technology and safety features across two trims.
