Kayan Egypt Officially Launches All-Electric CUPRA Tavascan

Kayan Egypt, the sole authorized importer and distributor for the Spanish automotive brand CUPRA in Egypt, is preparing to officially launch the all-electric "CUPRA Tavascan EV" in the local market. 

The debut is scheduled for Thursday, October 15th, during a dedicated media launch event bringing together industry leaders, automotive specialists, and journalists.

The arrival of the Tavascan marks a major milestone in CUPRA's electrification strategy for Egypt. Positioned as an all-electric SUV Coupé, the vehicle combines high-performance driving dynamics with sustainable e-mobility solutions. 

CUPRA Surpasses 8,000 Cumulative Sales in Egypt

The launch of the Tavascan coincides with a significant operational achievement for CUPRA in Egypt. The Spanish brand announced that its cumulative sales in the local market have officially surpassed the 8,000-unit milestone.

This metric underscores strong consumer demand for CUPRA's performance-oriented lineup and distinctive design language, backed by Volkswagen Group engineering. 

It also reinforces Kayan Egypt’s position as a key distributor committed to expanding product offerings and enhancing aftersales infrastructure for Egyptian customers.

Design Language & Exterior Dimensions

The CUPRA Tavascan introduces an aggressive visual identity that retains the brand's signature sporty genetics. Built on the Volkswagen Group's dedicated MEB modular electric drive matrix, the vehicle features a Coupé silhouette optimized for aerodynamic efficiency.

Front-end styling is anchored by three-triangle LED matrix headlights, sharp body lines, and an illuminated CUPRA logo. The structural dimensions of the vehicle provide a balanced footprint for both urban maneuvering and interior space:

• Battery & Fast Charging: The Tavascan is equipped with a 77 kWh net usable lithium-ion battery pack (82 kWh gross capacity). Utilizing DC fast-charging capabilities up to 135 kW, the battery can replenish from 10% to 80% charge in approximately 28 minutes. 
• Endurance Specification (Rear-Wheel Drive): Powered by a single rear-mounted electric motor producing 286 hp (210 kW) and 545 Nm of torque. This configuration delivers an electric driving range of up to 568 km under the WLTP testing standard. 
• VZ Specification (Dual-Motor All-Wheel Drive): Features dual electric motors providing a combined output of 340 hp (250 kW). The VZ trim accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.5 seconds, offering a WLTP-certified range of up to 520 km on a single charge.
