"BMW Egypt" Records Highest Sales of M Models in Africa and Eastern Europe

Cairo, February 13, 2025: "BMW Egypt" announced that it achieved the highest sales of BMW M models in 2024 in the Africa and Eastern Europe region, surpassing other major markets in the area. 

This remarkable accomplishment by "Global Auto" highlights its commitment to high-performance vehicles and reinforces the success of the "Global Auto" Group, the official dealer of BMW cars in the country, in providing the latest and most powerful BMW M cars to fans of the renowned German brand and its loyal customers in Egypt.

M models have become an essential part of "BMW Egypt's" business, accounting for 15% of total BMW sales during 2024.

The BMW M5 led sales in the high-performance M category, while the X5 M60i topped the sales of BMW M vehicles in the X category, and the M340i led the sales of BMW M cars in the sedan category.

In addition to these top-selling models, "BMW Egypt" offers a wide range of other M models to its customers in the country, including the M850i, M440i Coupé, M235i, M3, M4, and X2 M35i. Customers can order all of these models or choose a different model with special specifications through the "Global Auto" Group, which provides them with a unique driving experience through the outstanding performance of these exceptional sports models.

The BMW X5 M60i belongs to the high-performance SUV category and is powered by a robust eight-cylinder engine utilizing TwinPower Turbo technology, with a capacity of 4.4 liters and a mild hybrid system with 48-volt capability. 

This engine generates 530 horsepower with a maximum torque of 750 Nm and is connected to an eight-speed automatic transmission that transfers torque to all four wheels through the well-known xDrive system. 

The vehicle can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.3 seconds, reaching a top speed of 250 km/h. The sibling model, the BMW X6 M60i, which falls under the Sports Activity Coupe (SAC) category, shares the same engine and transmission, combining exceptional comfort, luxury, and high performance.

For the large sedan, the BMW M5 features a distinguished eight-cylinder engine with a capacity of 4.4 liters and a hybrid system producing up to 729 horsepower with a maximum torque of 1000 Nm. 

This remarkable engine is connected to an eight-speed transmission that transfers torque to the xDrive all-wheel-drive system. The M5 can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds, with a top speed of 330 km/h.

As for the mid-sized luxury sedan M340i xDrive, it relies on a six-cylinder inline engine with a capacity of 3 liters generating 387 horsepower with a maximum torque of 500 Nm.

It is connected to an eight-speed automatic transmission that transfers torque to all four wheels, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.4 seconds and achieve a top speed of 250 km/h.
