Changan 2026 Prices Surge in Egypt

Changan vehicles in the Egyptian market have experienced another wave of price increases as the Chinese automaker continues adjusting its pricing strategy amid rising automotive costs locally and globally. The latest hikes affected a wide range of the brand’s sedan and SUV models, reflecting the broader trend of increasing vehicle prices across Egypt’s automotive sector.

The market continues to face pressure from higher import and shipping costs, currency fluctuations, and increasing global production expenses. At the same time, Chinese brands such as Changan are strengthening their market presence by offering advanced technologies, premium features, and competitive pricing compared to several traditional rivals.

Changan EADO Starts from EGP 775,000

The Changan EADO 2026 remains one of the brand’s most affordable models in Egypt, with prices starting from approximately EGP 775,000 for the entry-level trim, while the higher-spec version reaches around EGP 825,000 following the latest increases.

The sedan is powered by a naturally aspirated 1.5-liter engine producing 109 horsepower and 152 Nm of torque, paired with a seven-speed automatic transmission.

The EADO targets customers searching for an affordable sedan equipped with modern technology and practical features, especially as prices continue rising across Egypt’s compact and mid-size sedan segments.

The vehicle also offers several comfort and safety features that have helped it gain popularity among Egyptian buyers, in addition to its contemporary exterior styling that gives it a stronger road presence within its category.

EADO Plus Raises the Competition

The Changan EADO Plus 2026 also received new pricing adjustments, with prices now starting from EGP 1 million and reaching approximately EGP 1.15 million for the fully equipped variant.

The model is powered by a turbocharged 1.5-liter engine delivering 178 horsepower and 300 Nm of torque, providing significantly stronger performance compared to the standard EADO.

The sedan is equipped with a seven-speed automatic transmission and features a wide range of modern technologies, including digital displays, advanced driver assistance systems, and intelligent interior features.

Competition within the mid-size sedan category has intensified recently, particularly with the arrival of Chinese vehicles offering high equipment levels at prices lower than several Japanese and Korean competitors.

UNI-V Continues Its Sporty Appeal

Among the models affected by the latest price increases is the Changan UNI-V 2026, which now carries a price tag of approximately EGP 1.25 million according to the latest official pricing list in Egypt.

The sporty sedan is powered by a turbocharged 1.5-liter engine generating 185 horsepower and 300 Nm of torque, connected to a seven-speed automatic gearbox.

The UNI-V adopts a more aggressive and sporty design language compared to other Changan models, featuring coupe-inspired styling, aerodynamic body lines, and a modern digital cabin designed to appeal to younger buyers seeking performance and technology.

The vehicle also includes several advanced safety and driver assistance systems, strengthening its competitiveness within the compact sporty sedan segment.

SUV Models Also Receive Price Hikes

The latest increases were not limited to sedans, as several Changan SUV models also experienced price adjustments, including the CS35 Plus, CS55 Plus, CS75 Plus, and UNI-T.

The Changan CS35 Plus now starts at approximately EGP 950,000 for the entry-level trim and reaches nearly EGP 1.15 million for higher-equipped versions. The SUV is powered by a 1.4-liter turbocharged engine producing 160 horsepower and 260 Nm of torque.

Meanwhile, the Changan CS55 Plus is available in both locally assembled and imported versions. Prices for the locally assembled variant begin at around EGP 1.05 million, while higher trims reach nearly EGP 1.325 million. The SUV uses a turbocharged engine producing 185 horsepower paired with a seven-speed automatic transmission.

In the upper SUV category, the Changan CS75 Plus starts from approximately EGP 1.35 million and reaches nearly EGP 1.499 million. The model features a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine producing 185 horsepower alongside an advanced eight-speed automatic transmission.

The futuristic-looking Changan UNI-T also witnessed price increases, with prices now ranging between EGP 1.35 million and EGP 1.45 million depending on trim level. The crossover SUV combines bold styling with advanced digital technologies aimed at competing strongly within the sporty crossover segment.

Why Are Car Prices Increasing in Egypt?

The latest Changan price hikes come amid a broader wave of increases affecting Egypt’s automotive market throughout 2026, with many brands adjusting prices repeatedly over recent months.

Several factors have contributed to these increases, including rising global shipping and import costs, higher raw material and energy prices, and foreign exchange fluctuations impacting imported and locally assembled vehicles alike.

The global transition toward hybrid and electric vehicles has also increased manufacturing costs due to the reliance on expensive battery systems and advanced technologies.

Industry analysts expect further price movements in the Egyptian market during the coming period, especially if global economic pressures and operational costs continue rising.

Changan Strengthens Its Presence in Egypt

Despite the price increases, Changan continues expanding its footprint in Egypt thanks to its diverse lineup of sedans and SUVs combined with high technology levels and competitive value.

Local partnerships and the expansion of domestic assembly operations for certain models have also helped strengthen the brand’s position within the Egyptian market, particularly as consumer confidence in Chinese vehicles continues improving due to advancements in quality, safety, and technology.

Changan appears focused on combining modern styling, advanced features, and aggressive pricing strategies, helping the company maintain strong momentum across multiple vehicle categories in Egypt.

Conclusion

The latest Changan 2026 price increases reflect the rapid changes taking place within Egypt’s automotive market amid ongoing global economic pressures and rising import and production costs.

Despite the higher prices, Changan vehicles continue maintaining strong appeal among Egyptian consumers thanks to their diverse lineup, advanced technologies, and competitive positioning within their respective segments.

As Chinese automakers continue expanding in Egypt, competition across different vehicle categories is expected to intensify further, especially with the arrival of new hybrid and electric models equipped with increasingly sophisticated technologies.
