Queen Anne Makes History: Dream Ship Successfully Completes First World Voyage

In a moment embodying British maritime pride and crowning centuries of esteemed naval tradition, Cunard Line's Queen Anne has successfully completed her inaugural world voyage, leaving her indelible mark on the annals of luxurious transcontinental travel.

The vessel, which set sail from Southampton on January 9, 2025, returned to her homeport on April 28, 2025, after circumnavigating the globe over 111 days.

During this epic journey, she traversed thousands of miles and called at 30 ports in 24 countries across 5 continents.

This achievement is more than just a successful cruise; it's an affirmation of the return of luxury sea travel to its golden age, and a prelude to the legendary maritime experiences Cunard promises its guests in the years to come.

A Voyage of Luxury and Discovery

The Queen Anne embarked on her world voyage to offer guests an unparalleled experience in terms of destinations, service, and cultural content.

The ship crossed the Atlantic towards the Caribbean, then headed to the Panama Canal to begin the Latin American leg of the journey, passing along the coasts of South America, Oceania, and then Asia, the Middle East, and Europe.

Among the most prominent ports of call were:

  • Curaçao and Aruba in the Caribbean.
  • Santiago de Chile and Lima on the Pacific coast.
  • Auckland, Sydney, and Melbourne in Australia and New Zealand.
  • Hong Kong, Singapore, and Kuala Lumpur in Asia.
  • Dubai and Muscat in the Arabian Gulf.
  • Athens and Barcelona in the Mediterranean, before returning to the UK.

Each stop was more than just a brief visit; it was an integrated experience that included cultural land tours, tasting local cuisines, and learning about diverse peoples, all accompanied by certified experts and tour guides.

Queen Anne: A Moving Maritime Palace

The Queen Anne is Cunard's newest and most advanced vessel, officially launched in 2024. She was designed to embody a harmonious blend of classic British heritage and contemporary modernity.

The ship features over 1,139 suites and staterooms and can accommodate approximately 3,000 guests, making her one of the most comprehensively equipped luxury cruise ships in the world.

Key highlights include:

  • Multiple exquisite dining venues, including the classic Britannia Restaurant, and specialty restaurants serving Asian, Italian, and seafood cuisines.
  • A Royal Court Theatre presenting daily performances from opera to comedy and jazz.
  • A spa and wellness center branded Mareel Wellness & Beauty, offering comprehensive holistic programs.
  • Art galleries and the largest library at sea.
